Hi,

My name's Mike and this is my blog. I guess I should start by letting you know a little bit about me.

Well, there's a lot going on in my life right now. The biggest thing would probably be my upcoming wedding. Yep, I'm getting married. Never thought it would happen but I found the right girl. She loves me and I love her so we're taking the plunge.

A lot of people have been asking me if I'm nervous and my answer is always the same. Not in the least. She's the right girl and I know it because I can no longer imagine a life without her. I'm not even worried about getting up in front of everyone and doing my vows. I've never been shy about public speaking though.

What I am nervous about is work. I do database building, support and maintenance and I do it on a contract basis. My current contract is up in December and I've got no other prospects. I don't really like what I'm currently doing so I'm hoping for a change. I'll be receiving a Masters in December so that should help smooth the transition.

Needless to say, I've been job searching the last couple of weeks. I've had a few interviews and there are some companies that I'm really interested in. Whatever I do I'm sure I'll end up moving which would be great. I'd love to live on either coast but almost anywhere would be a nice change of pace.

Well, I think thats a good start... Gives you at least a little background into where I am right now.
